- Retirement Annuities (RA) are retirement investments held independent of your employer. This information is thus not reflected on your payslip or IRP5 certificate.
- Employers often offer some incentive to contribute to a pension fund or a provident fund, which is paid directly to the fund by your employer (this can be split between an employer contribution portion and an employee contribution portion). The tax benefits are already figured in, as a deduction from your monthly payable PAYE.
- Pension Fund, Provident Fund and retirement Annuity contributions is directly deducted from your taxable income, subject to certain limitations in for example the maximum contribution amount per year.
- If you contribute to an RA, your fund manager should send you an annual RA certificate (sometimes, but not always labeled an IT3(f) certificate, as per the example supplied. PLEASE SEND THIS TO US.
WE NEED YOUR RA CERTIFICATE(S) - PLEASE SEND THEM ON TO US
